Agritur Malga Vernera

The Malga Vernera Farmhouse is the only mountain hut still open and functioning in Val di Cembra. You can reach it thanks to the road starting from the small village of Montesover - behind the Alpine Church - towards the Vernera area, in the western part of Lagorai mountain chain. The footpath will lead you accross the woods until the 1781 mt high Malga Vernera.

The road to the Malga is not particularly demanding or steep: bikes and pulling-chairs can easily follow it until the Farmhouse, as it is a paved road for the majority. This is very similar to a small ranch cottage and the rural atmosphere inspires true relaxation in nature. It is open only during summer.

At the Farmhouse you can taste genuine traditional Trentino dishes such as polenta with spezzatino or lamb. The speciality, obviosuly, are the home-made cheese, that you can taste and buy directly at the Malga.
