The Malga Vael Mountain Hut is not too far from Vigo di Fassa, the largest town in Val di Fassa. It is anyway necessary to use the cableway towards Ciampedìe and follow the winter ski track, pass by the Cimapedìe Refuge and arrive at the foot of the Roda di Vael Mountain. From the high, you can go straight to the Malga Vael Farmhouse, an amazing location where the everyday life is at the farm's necessity and the restaurant is at guests' request.

After the demanding hiking, you will be warmly welcomed in this joyful and cosy Farmhouse and will meet professional people who will suggest you the best Ladin dishes and provide you with politeness and cheerfulness, as well as useful tips about excursions and climbing tracks. The specialities of the restaurant are the canederli from Tyrol or made of liver, polenta with goulasch or game and a wide range of home-made pies, like the Kaisermarren - a typical Austrian dessert very similar to strauben.

The Malga Vael Mountain Hut is open during summer and you can enjoy meals indoor and outdoor.
