The Volpaia Farmhouse is located in the small village of Vermiglio (Val di Sole), the nearest to the Passo Tonale. The Farmhouse offers accommodation in both rooms and apartments plus restaurant service, which is deeply connected to the tradition of the territory. The first courses and pasta are home-made, as well as the pies; meat, sausage and dairy products are transformed in the family's farm; vegetables and small fruits are grown in the large garden. The restaurant has been recently renovated and now it is accessible to disabled people.
The rooms of the Volpaia Farmhouse include B&B service, while the apartments include the use of the kitchen. During the opening of the restaurant (in high season, all days; in low season, only on Saturdays and Sundays; in May and October it is closed), Half Board service is available. Guests can also buy their favourite products directly at the Farmhouse.
The Teaching Farm and its activities are very valuable: guided visits, open days in the stables, laboratories on the milking of cows and goats and on the transformation of milk into Casolet cheese, excursions to the mountain hut with the sheperd and the cutting of the hay.
