Agritur al Marter

The "al Marter" Farmhouse is located in the fascinating Val di Ledro, 1 km far from the village of Tiarno di Sopra and 5 km far from Lake Ledro. The owners' grandfather was named "the Marter" (the marten) and devoted his life to the breeding of cattle. He got his nickname because in the 40s he became an expert hunter of martens to support his family. The martens are small animals with a precious fur but it turns to be very difficult to catch them.

The Farmhouse is a good departure point for trips on foot or by mountain bike around the sides of Lake Ampola, a biotope protecting rare natural species. Alternatively, you can start to search for mushrooms, as the area is a very rich in. The Agritur has 7 rooms with en suite bathrooms, a large deposit for bicycles and motorcycles, parking for cars and caravans. Caravans who are not hosted in the Agritur can park there if the owners have at least one meal at the Farmhouse's restaurant.

The "al Marter" cuisine uses only fresh products to prepare delicious traditional meals, like the "polenta concia" (polenta with other ingredients mixed in acccording to the local recipe). During summer, it is possible to have lunch in the outdoor garden and inspire the pure and perfumed nature all around.
